I've been working through our band photo archives this morning and discovered these great photos taken by Mandy Misfit of our live performance at the Bloodlust Ball back in August 2014. This was around the time of the release of our album 'The Golden Cage and its Mirrored Maze' . I recall we opened with 'The Aerial Mariners' and it went off!
Strangely, I don't believe we have ever shared these photos here before!

We were recently interviewed by one of Italy's finest darkwave zines, Darkroom Magazine, about Friends of Alice Ivy, our new album "The Last Days of Fenwyck", Ostia and a bunch of other "stuff". The interview is in Italian, but if you are a conversant in Italian, or have a vast deal of faith in Google Translate, you can read our ramblings here:
Big, huge and mega thanks to Roberto Alessandro Filippozzi for his kind words and incisive questions!! :-) Grazie Roberto!!

I recently collaborated with a wonderful band A Thousand Hours on their song "Clutch" taken from their new album "Sleep". The song is awash with ethereal loveliness, shimmering, cascading guitars and a touch of 80s goth/electro. Working on this song reminded me of my earlier days in the band, Ostia. Interestingly, Ostia's album "From the Aether" is 20 years old this year. More news on that soon. Anyway, here is the video clip for "Clutch". Thank you A Thousand Hours for the opportunity to have worked on this song, much fun was had!
PS: The album is staggeringly good and can be soaked up by clicking here: https://onethousandhours.bandcamp.com/album/sleep

"Our duo from Melbourne has been hiding for the past 3 years and now unveils a new sound, a new direction. Fans of nice music like Dead Can Dance will still be very enthusiastic, so don’t worry...dream about heavenly things...".
We are so thrilled with this review of "The Last Days of Fenwyck" from Belgium's SnoozeControl. :-)

We just wanted to say a big "thank you" to everyone that has enjoyed this lovely song and a MASSIVE "thank you" to everyone that has bought our new album, "The Last Days of Fenwyck". We're overwhelmed by the response to both the video and the album and we're so grateful for the kind, lovely and encouraging feedback we have received.

Tomorrow sees the release of Friends of Alice Ivy's first album in nearly three years, "The Last Days of Fenwyck". We are extremely proud of and excited by its release after a long period of writing, demoing and recording. We returned to Toyland Studios in Melbourne in February, putting the work into the capable hands of producer Adam Calaitzis, and it features contributions from cellist Ellie Walker, vocalist Frances Catherine, and features wonderful artwork by Robert Wiltshire.
For all intents and purposes, it's a concept album; an observation of a world in flux, seen predominantly through the eyes of the eponymous Fenwyck, a sage stag deer who represents a mysterious past. The album contains six songs that combine Friends of Alice Ivy's whimsical neoclassicism with newly introduced elements of electronica and beats. It's a strange, beautiful and otherwordly album...we hope you will love it.
It's available from our shop on this site or digitally through iTunes, Bandcamp, Amazon etc. A limited edition of 100 is available; this comes with a beautiful little lyric booklet and is only available from our online store.
We do hope to stage a special performance of "The Last Days of Fenwyck" in Melbourne in the coming months. Details of this show will be announced as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support; please let us know what you think of our new album.
